Playing on a mobile device, the lucky online slots user staked 75c to land a jackpot of €18,915,872.81, an amount that set a new payout record for Mega Moolah, which had earned a Guinness World Record title for its previous highest pay-out of €17,879,645.12 (from 25p) on Betway's casino back in 2015.
Technically, September 28's jackpot win now owns the World Record: 'Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game', though Microgaming and Guinness World Records have not officially confirmed it will be replacing 2015's win in the list just yet.
The new slots multi-millionaire was playing Microgaming's progressive jackpot game through Grand Mondial Casino, which also landed a player €4.6m on April 19 - the third of four 2018 jackpots to top €4m at casinos using Microgaming software.

Third Tomb Raider Slot Launch
Microgaming's 2018 figures come off the back of the Isle of Man-based gaming developer announcing it would produce a surprise third Tomb Raider slot game, more than a decade after its last instalment.
That news was revealed earlier this month, Microgaming entering its 15th year of partnership with video game developer Square Enix, who license use of the Lara Croft brand.
Microgaming's first slot was Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2004, with Tomb Raider: Secret of the Sword launching in 2008, and the third title will be revealed at the industry event ICE London in February.
