Online casino scams appear to be everywhere! But how can you avoid them? When I say online casino scams I am referring to casinos ripping off their customers. For instance, an online casino that is not paying out the money you won or deposited when you request a withdrawal. In return you will receive all the excuses they can think of at the moment for not being able to pay out your money.

One of the most common excuses is that they do not have your withdrawal information, even though you have sent it to them millions of times before. Or they will blame "administrative" or "system" problems or that they have already sent out the cheque and it was probably lost in the post. All of these excuses sound childish.

One time I was shocked when I was served the excuse that they had to pay out a huge jackpot recently and as a result they were having some cash flow problems and for that reason they will only be able to honor the withdrawal request at the end of the month. I wondered, haven’t they thought that gamblers don’t really want to play at a casino with cash flow problems.

Now, I am a reasonable person and I do understand sometimes this kind of problem can occur. But the difference between respectable online casinos and casino scams is how they deal with such problems. A respectable online casino will always correct it quickly with a minimum of fuss.

Believe it or not, you can find hundreds of these casino frauds online these days and sadly they seem to be multiplying. For this reason online players should be aware of such casinos ripping off their clients and do a research before opening an account with an online casino. One of the first things I believe a player should do is:

Explore carefully the casino’s website reading above all the terms and conditions. Reading them you can avoid being surprised with a condition about paying out.

On the other hand, if the website looks unprofessional this may indicate that the company running it is also unprofessional.

Check their customer service. Send an email with a question or problem to check their response time. In general a reputable online casino will answer back within 24 hours and will do their best to solve your problem.

Other players’ opinion on the casino can be a good reference. For example, search for online casino reviews, which you can find on this website also. You will find about reputable casinos offering excellent casino bonuses and excellent online games.
