A story is told of a man who was banned from casinos across Britain after winning around $37,000. He used a secret betting pattern that he spent years perfecting. This is an interesting story since getting banned in one country didn't stop him relocating to another jurisdiction and using the same system.

Well, I wouldn't mind being banned with that amount of money in my custody. I would then go on to popularize my book and aim to make good sales. The problem with being famous in such a way is that every casino in the world would probably not allow you into their premises. They'd flag you up in their systems.

I think this man was a genius who decided to take his time and test the system. Who knows, perhaps he'd have gone on to lose all that money hadn't he been banned. I'm just wondering if people will still win after reading his book. I have my doubts.

I don't know.
There are at least two questions here:
1)Has he actually been banned across ALL casinos, or just a few? (Some casino chains are closely linked)
2)Did he actually win all that money, as he claims?

1) He was banned from the Grosvenor Casino chain, not every casino in the UK. They sent him a letter about it which he used.
2) It seems he did win the money.
The best comment I've seen on it is that if he sat at a roulette table taking comps for entire days while placing only one or two small bets, a casino is going to bar him whether he was winning or losing.

Casinos are out to make a profit and because most of them are private enterprises they can ban you for no reason at all. They can even say to you things like: "You are free to play any other game except for ... (blackjack or roulette for instance).
I read somewhere that in some state casinos they can't ban you unless you are cheating, but if that were the case you could use a computer openly! (This of course would never be allowed).
If they don't like you for any reason, they can make your life so difficult and create losing conditions so that you are forced to leave or stop playing. So never create animosity with the casino staff or pit bosses.
That's my take on it anyway.

I feel that that is such a waste of valuable time and effort. If someone's dreams are so small, then they really shouldn't be wasting their time in casinos and risking lifetime bans just for a few drinks. There are less risky ways of achieving the same.

Hi what's this system your using?
Not really a system, more of a method. Google "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar" by Roald Dahl. I use the method mentioned in the story.

It took me around 18 months of daily practice to get good with it, but now I win almost all the time. I haven't had a losing session in well over 12 months, so long in fact that I forget the last time I lost one. I don't win every spin, but I do win every session. A session can be anywhere from 4-100 spins, with the average around 20 spins. My goal is to win 100 units every session, which happens more often than not. Units can be $0.01 - $10, but I generally use $1.
I used $10 chips in a B&M casino because I had to, but got a bit too much attention for my liking. Getting multiple hits consecutively betting on 1-4 numbers does that, so I don't play in B&M casinos anymore. There is only one here where I live and it's too hard to be anonymous.

I posted a few videos on Steve's other site, you can find them on Youtube as well.

Just because this was the way he won, that doesn't assure that everyone using his system will win as much as well. Casino's reset their wheels all the time to keep this sort of thing from happening with regularity. Casino's are in business because THEY make money, not US.
